On the afternoon of March 7th, the annual meeting for the 2018 freshmen in Honors School was held in the lecture hall on the fifth floor of the library.  Ji Zhicheng, Vice President of Jiangnan University and Dean of Honors School, and Jin Jian, Executive Deputy Dean of Honors School attended the meeting.

The selection of the honor students in 2018 started at the end of the last semester. After the students’application, each school’s recommendation, written interview and Management Committee review, 180 excellent freshmen were selected as the honor students.

 At the meeting, President Ji first delivered a speech. He inspired students to set high goals and firmly move forward. He expected students to become academic masters, industrial talents and governing elites through broadening their horizons and cultivating their own leadership qualities and innovative potential. Finally, he wished all freshmen: "Become better in Honors School, and make experience in Honors School be the most wonderful and memorable chapter in life."

Then the meeting proceeded with the ceremony of issuing admission letter. With excitement and joy, the student representative accepted admission letter solemnly. Teachers in Honors School interpreted in detail the talents training model, quality and innovation courses and management methods, etc.
