In order to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Jiangnan University and the 9th anniversary of the founding of Zhishan Honors School and fully demonstrate the brilliant demeanour of the honor students, Annual Freshmen Sodality of Honors School was held on the afternoon of November 11, 2018 in Wenhao Building. Participants in this party include the distinguished tutors of Honors School, the inheritor of Wuxi intangible cultural heritage, and the teachers and students of Jiangnan Art Kindergarten, etc.

At the fellowship party, the honor students performed various kinds of programs, such as songs “I like”, light stick dance “Playing Fireworks”, short comedy “Where are the Thieves” and stage play “Jiangnan Meets Boston”, which showed the scene of their study and life in Honors School and expressed their love and expectation of Honors School. The program, “Readers of Jiangnan University” led the students to review the process of Jiangnan University’s founding, and reproduced the touching historical moments.

“Intangible Cultural Heritage into the Campus" series is a highlight of the whole activity. Firstly, through the walk show the students displayed the results of six lectures on the inheritance and development of intangible cultural heritage held by Honors School since 2017. Subsequently, Wu Jiong, the inheritor of Wuxi intangible cultural heritage, and his partner, Qian Wei, together with the honor students presented the audience with the program “Dialog between Fisherman and Woodcutter”, which integrated Chinese guqin , xiao and dance.

In addition, Yibai Crosstalk Club, Art Troupe in Jiangnan University, Seed Theatre Troupe in School of Humanities and Art Troupe in Business School also brought wonderful performances to the audience. Finally, the sodality ended successfully in Singing and Dancing performed by the student union of Honors School.

Jiangnan University has made brilliant achievements in the past sixty years，and Honors School has been committed to fostering talents in the past nine years. The honor students will always bear the Motto of “Diligent in learning and committed to doing till you are a perfect being” in mind, witness new splendor of Jiangnan University, and continue to write a new brilliant chapter of Honors School.
