On the evening of December 7, the recruitment seminar on the selection of the honor students for 2019 was held in the lecture hall on the third floor of the library as scheduled. Despite the heavy snowfall and the bitter cold, the students’ enthusiasm for Zhishan Honors School continued to grow. More than 400 freshmen of 2018 participated in the seminar. The members of the seminar included Xu Jing, Deputy Dean of Honors School, Liu Chang, Vice President of students' union, and student representatives, Hu Aoyu, Zhang Yuanzhe, Yang Shuxun, Fan Runze, and Yao Jia.

First of all, Deputy Dean Xu Jing introduced Honors School in detail to the students through four sections: “Entering Zhishan Honors School”, “Knowing Zhishan Honors School “, “Identifying Zhishan Honors School” and “Joining Zhishan Honors School”. In addition, from the long-term and short-term goals, Deputy Dean Xu illustrated the training programs and educating objectives of Honors School. Through a series of examples of excellent Honors School Students, she encouraged students to be aggressive and join Honors School.

Subsequently, five student representatives explained the specific training programs from the aspects of science creation activities, quality and innovation courses and international exchange program, etc. Through their own personal experience, they shared the opportunities and harvest that Honors School provided for them, and expressed profound feelings for Honors School. After the seminar, the students were active to ask questions related to the policies and procedures of entering Honors School.
