Former Leaders
Professor FENG Biao, born in 1953, a post doctor, began his work in 1969. In January 1982, he graduated from the school of Sugar Engineering in Wuxi Light Industry University(now Jiangnan University), and went to France for further study as a government-sponsored overseas student in 1984. He gained his doctoral degree in the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Industries Alimentaires and started his post doctoral program in A.R.D Corporation between January 1990 and June 1996. After returning to China, he taught in Wuxi Light Industry Institute/Wuxi Light Industry University/Jiangnan University, and gained the post of professor in 1998. He worked as the Deputy President of Jangnan University between October 2001 and February 2014, and Dean of Honors School between 2009 and 2014.
Professor ZHANG Guangsheng, born in October 1964, postgraduate tutor, majored in the Environment Protection and Reasonable Utility of Natural Resources between 1993 and 2000 in Russia. He was awarded the Ph.D in Geography of the Russian Academy of Sciences in October 2000. ZHANG is a member of the Teaching Guiding Committee of the Environment Science & Engineering (National Ministry of Education), the Certification Committee of Experts of Engineering Education (National Ministry of Education), the Standing Council of Ecological Society of China. Professor ZHANG is also the Deputy Director of the Committee of the Tourism Ecology of the Ecological Society of China, an expert member of 3rd Education and Popularity Committee of Chinese Association for Quaternary Research, and an expert member of the Committee of the Star Modeling Activity of National Leisure Agriculture & Rural Tourism Building. In addition he is an evaluation expert of the National Water Conservancy Scenic Area (National Ministry of Water Resources), and the Director of the Tourism & Eco-environment Research Center of Jiangnan University. Between 2009 and 2011 he was the Executive Deputy Dean of Honors School.
Professor FANG Yun, born in 1957, a doctoral supervisor, the Executive Deputy Dean of Honors School between 2011 and 2016, works in the School of Chemistry and Material Engineering now. He is the Vice Director of the China Cleaning Industry Association, a member of the Fine Chemistry Committee of the Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China, and the Standing Director of the Surfactant R&D Promotion Association of Industrial Engineering Sci & Tech Commission of Chinese Academy of Engineering. Professor FANG is also the Executive Commissioner of the Political Consultation Committee of Wuxi Municipal City and the Vice Director of the Wuxi Friendship Association for Non-Party Intellectuals. He was awarded as the Core Teacher of the National Ministry of Education, and the New Century chair scholar of Jiangsu Qin Lan Project. His researches focus on colloid and interfacial chemistry, and the composition and application of fine chemicals, in particular surfactants.
As the chair researcher, FANG has completed 3 programs supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. During the 9th Five-year Plan to the 12th Five-year Plan periods, he successively hosted projects sponsored by National Key Technology R&D Program, Jiangsu Achievement Transformation Program, Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu, Jiangsu International Cooperation Foundation, Key Sci-Tech Program of National Ministry of Education. In addition, he has been awarded several prizes including the 1st Progress Prize of China National Light Industry Council, 2ed Sci-Tech Progress Prize of Sinopec, 3rd Sci-Tech Progress Prize of Jiangsu. Besides, Professor FANG has won the Outstanding Contribution Awards of the national Ministry of Sci-Tech in implementing the 11th five-year national sci-Tech plan. He has been authorized more than 10 patents and published 28 patents. Now he is hosting one program supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China and another one supported by 12th Five-year National Key Technology R&D Program.
Professor JIN Jian, a M.D. and doctoral supervision, born in May 1960, is the Standing Director of Chinese Pharmaceutical Association Jiangsu Branch, the Vice Director of the New Drug Preclinical Pharmacy Professional Committee of Jiangsu Province Pharmacological Society, the Vice Chairman of Wuxi Pharmaceutical Association; and he is a life member of Chinese Pharmacological Society, Chinese Medical Association, Chinese Society of Biochemistry and Chinese Society for Immunology. Professor JIN is also an expert member of the Academic Committee of Jiangnan University, Key Laboratory of Thrombosis and Hemostasis (Ministry of Health), Key Laboratory of Parasitic Immune Technology (sponsored by National Ministry of Health) and Blood Disease Engineering Research Center (National Ministry of Education).
Professor JIN was awarded the title of Provincial Middle-Age and Young Experts with Outstanding Contribution in 1999. He takes charge of and participates in nearly 50 projects (completed 40 ones) supported by the National Basic Research Program of China (973 Program), National High-Tech Research and Development Program of China (863 Program), Natural Science Foundation of China, National Science and Technology Major Projects, National Key Support Program, Strategic Priority Research Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the national ministry or province level scientific research programs as well as international cooperation programs. He has been awarded with 20 provincial prizes for progress in science and technology, and has published & gained 47 authorized national patents for invention.
